9 Fun Facts About My Wardrobe
As you know, lolita fashion is something I am very passionate about. Here are nine fun facts about my wardrobe that may surprise you!
1. Prints, prints, and more prints!
Over 80% of my lolita wardrobe is printed! Something about printed fabric for lolita pieces is super adorable! The coordinate possibilities that come with these precious illustrations are nothing short of impressive. Prints are so much fun that I am excited to have more printed pieces!
2. All about the dress.
I own one skirt, and I never wear it. It's all about the dress for me. There is something magical about a lolita dress. I really like the versatility that comes with different cuts and styles. I love making the dress the focus of my outfit.
3. My oldest piece.
My oldest piece is from 2015. The dress is from Bodyline. The name of the dress is Ladder Lace Jumperskirt. I really love this item. This is the only dress that I own that is not printed. The details are lovely, especially the floral aspects.
4. So many accessories!
Accessories are 85% of my lolita wardrobe! These items are a lot of fun to collect. My favorite part of the jewelry, hair accessories, gloves, and other goodies is that they add so much versatility to a lolita coordinate. These smaller lolita items are less expensive, too! I spend close to 70% of my entire lolita fashion budget on accessories.
5. Basic bags.
All my lolita fashion purses are simple. Do not get me wrong; I absolutely love novelty bags as much as the next fashionista. However, I really like the more basic bags the best because they add so many options for lolita outfits. It's fun to dress the bags up with my lolita accessories when I want to!
6. Wild about wigs.
I love wigs. I have several wigs that I use with lolita fashion. I have very short natural hair. Wigs allow me to get additional styles and options for my lolita coordinates! I love using natural and unnatural colors. Each wig gives me the chance to experiment with different lengths and styles. I love them!
7. My most worn piece.
Recently, I discovered that my Maxicimam dress is my most worn item! The name of the jumperskirt is Lovely Chocolate Bear Coty-chan Sweets Wonderland. This dress is one of my favorite pieces! Between the bears, balloons, and piles of sweets, it is no wonder that this dress is one that I wear most frequently. I love all of the possible lolita coordinate options for the dress!
8. Color Scheme.
My entire wardrobe is pastel colors. The overwhelming color in my lolita wardrobe is pink! It probably won't surprise you that this is my favorite color. I just love how cute and warm the color pink is! All my pieces are mostly pink or have elements that are pink.
9. Strangest Item.
The strangest item that I own would be BB and B Deco's Strawberry necklace. The item itself is not strange. Regrettably, the necklace does not fit in with my current wardrobe! I originally purchased this item with a matching headband. My intention was to pair these items with my solid Bodyline dress. Sadly, the pinks did not match. While I sold the headband, I did not have the heart to sell the necklace. I hope to add a strawberry themed dress, soon!
