As you continue with your lolita fashion journey, you will come across new terms used in the fashion. This list of terms will help you locate, buy, sell and collect all your favorite lolita fashion items.

Brands

AATP - Alice and the Pirates, a well-known Japanese lolita brand
AP - Angelic Pretty, a well known Japanese lolita brand
BTSSB or Baby - Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, a well known Japanese lolita brand
IW - Innocent World, a well known Japanese lolita brand
JetJ - Juliette et Justine
Meta - Metamorphose temps de fille, a well known Japanese lolita brand
MmM - Moi-meme-Moitie, a well known Japanese lolita brand
Burando - brand name lolita pieces
Indie Brand - designs created from an independent, smaller scale designer
Off-Brand - items created by non-lolita designers or lesser known indie brands
Handmade - items created by the lolita who posted, or an artist on a small scale

 

Item Types

HB - headbow
JSK - a jumperskirt, a dress without sleeves
OP - a one-piece, a dress with sleeves
OTK - over the knee socks
Petti - a petticoat
​SK - skirt
​Tea Party Shoes - a simple Mary-Jane style shoe with bows on the front

 

​Item Conditions

Colorway - the release color category of the item
DS - direct sale
NWOT - new without tags
NWT - new with tags
WTB - want to buy
​Sax - a common light blue color
​Shirring - gathered material and elastic that accommodates multiple sizes
​WTT - want to trade

 

Other Terms

Comm - lolita community
Coord or Co-oord - coordinate, or a full lolita outfit
J-fashion - Japanese street fashion
Lace Market -  a common marketplace to buy and sell lolita
Loliable - these pieces are not lolita, but they can be used for lolita fashion
Lucky Pack or Fukubukuro - a blind bag value pack which can include accessories and main pieces
OTT ~ for coordinates that are over the top
SS- shopping service, which is a person or business that buys an item on your behalf
Taobao - a well-known Chinese based marketplace
