International Lolita Day 2020

Our semi-annual holiday has come! International Lolita Day is the perfect excuse to doll yourself up and wear the fashion you love. I usually use this day as an excuse to wear an over-the-top coordinate. This year, I wanted to do something different. Instead of wearing an elaborate look, I challenged myself to style a look with three rules. The first was to use one item I never wear, successfully use false eyelashes, and use my natural hair. Yes, you heard that right! I cannot wait to share my experience, and challenge, with you!

< I love the way false eyelashes look! I have never successfully attached them, until now. They will make a comeback for sure!

Wigs are a great way to change up a look. My natural hair is very short. While I usually like the volume wigs bring, I am very happy with this look! The holiday was the perfect push for me to use my everyday hairstyle! >

Last but not least, I used two items I never wear instead of one! Now don't get me wrong, I adore both of these items but was looking for a great chance to use them. For this challenge, I used my plastic Baby, the Stars Shine Bright headband and my all pink wristcuffs from MeLikesTea. My short hair is perfect for my plastic headband. In the past, my wigs caused this piece to become overshadowed. My everyday look really showcases the gorgeous details. I have a weakness for bracelets and tend to neglect my wristcuffs. This time, I wore both! These particular wristcuffs are so comfortable and delicate! The pink shade is to die for, too.

How did you celebrate this International Lolita Day? I'd love to read your answers!

Stay Frilly~

I love how you balanced the colors in this coordinate, your headband really does pop thanks to your hair and it’s just so darn cute!! Side note, I also LOVE the cardigan, its so simple and elegant, and such a darling shade of pink!

I did a quick coordinate since one of my dream dresses came in the mail! It fit so well and was a cut I never dared wear and I loved it! Truly an ILD I will always remember.
