Review: Two Blouses and One Bolero by Glitter Tale
Glitter Tale is a indie lolita brand based in Vietnam. I have heard great things about this brand, though nothing fairly recent. The best part of all is that Glitter Tale takes custom measurements without an additional charge! For Glitter Tale's February sale, I ordered three essential lolita items. With construction changes and custom measurements, I was beyond excited to get my items!

One of my goals for this calendar year is to add more basic necessities to my lolita fashion wardrobe. I am always on the lookout for affordable lolita brands that offer custom sizing. Until now, I have never purchased from Glitter Tale. I wasn't thrilled with my past blouses purchases from other lolita apparel companies. This disappointment prompted me to try something new!
I was surprised that I couldn’t find any recent reviews of Glitter Tale. The reviews that I could find were from 2015 or before. I took a risk and planned my purchases. Unbelievably, Glitter Tale announced their sale when I placed my order! All my items were bought at a discount.
How to Order
The order process can be a bit complicated. To place an order for a blouse, bolero or an underskirt, you may use this form via Google docs. I added the items I wanted, the quantities, colors, and measurements. I could add my preferences, such as my desire to change the material of my Sweet Princess Blouse from chiffon to cotton. Once the form is submitted, Glitter Tale calculates the total cost of your items plus the shipping method of your choice. The invoice from Glitter Tale is sent to your email, and it is easy to pay the invoice via PayPal. I had great communication with this company. If they, or if I, had any questions the responses were very quick.

My items were shipped with EMS shipping. I was originally due to receive my package on March 31st. After a small battle, I obtained my package from the post office on April 4th. My order was contained in a very tidy thick brown parcel. Inside the parcel, each item that I had ordered had been folded carefully and placed within it's own individually sealed clear plastic bag. Every item came with their own Glitter Tale cloth label and tags. The presentation was fantastic; I couldn't wait to open them!
Sweet Princess Blouse
The first item I opened was my Sweet Princess Blouse. Instead of the light chiffon, I requested that the blouse be made from cotton. I needed my white cotton blouse to be replaced. I am so happy with the result!
The cotton that the blouse is constructed of is of exceptional quality. The cotton is sturdy, soft to the touch and not transparent. While my former short-sleeved blouse was created with a thinner fabric, this cotton does not disappoint. There may be a small amount of spandex to the material as well, which makes the garment even better! Each aspect of this blouse have been carefully executed.
The stitching on the blouse is flawless. Each ruffle and pintuck have been place and produced with a flawless result. I do not need to worry about these aspects becoming slack over time. The blouse has beautiful high quality pearl buttons with a gold frame. The buttons have a good weight, so they will keep the blouse together when worn. Glitter Tale also included additional buttons, just in case.
The detail on the sleeve is even and lovely. Another row of ruffles and a pearl button secure the sleeve. I must admit that the base of these sleeves are fitted without any additional space. The blouse looks great when worn, but I may install some elastic to give myself the added security.
As a side note, I should mention that the blouse was requested in the white. The color of the blouse is white, but it is more of a eggshell white rather than a pure white. It's really a lovely shade.

This blouse is truly incredible! I am completely and pleasantly surprised how lovely this item is. The cotton material I requested is of a stunning quality and it exceptionally well made. I am very happy that the tailors at Glitter Tale were able to change the material and still have the item keep its original design. The blouse is the perfect size for my measurements, aside from the short sleeves.
Camellia Bolero
The second item I freed from it's plastic encased envelope was my bolero! I ordered the bolero in pink with white lace trim. Glitter Tale had inquired for my desired length before they created my item. In retrospect, I could have made this particular piece a bit shorter, but it is cute nonetheless!
The bolero is constructed of a different cotton than the Sweet Princess blouse. This fabric is lighter and feels more like a polyester blend. Since the material is lighter, the bolero is a good fit for the Spring or Summer months. I am excited to wear this bolero when it is warmer in New England!
The lace details on this piece are super pretty and they are constructed of an excellent quality! There is both a row of egg white lace and pure white lace on the bolero. This attribute can be found along the collar and at the edge of the sleeves. I am able to pair this bolero with a variety of lolita items.

This bolero is such a great addition to my wardrobe! I love the light-weight material and the beautiful details. All of the materials used were of a fantastic quality, expertly stitched, and made to my measurements. I cannot wait to use this bolero during the warmer months here in New England. I do wish that the fit was snugger.
"Custom 32" Blouse
Last, but certainly not least, is my ivory blouse! I absolutely love that this custom sized blouse matched it's stock image counterpart. The elegant design of this piece is simply stunning in person!
The chiffon material that the piece is made from is very soft and light-weight. Not only is it beautiful material, but it is a breathable fabric as well. The blouse is an excellent addition to a summer coordinate. All the ruffles on the blouse maintain their shape perfectly, despite the gentle material.
I am very impressed with the construction. Each piece of the design is simply elegant. This is enhanced by the dignified wide neckline of this design and the defined tulip or Hime-styled sleeves.
This blouse features the same pearl buttons that the Sweet Princess Blouse with a golden frame.
I absolutely love the sleeves on this blouse! The chiffon material allows the sleeve to stay lightweight and fall properly, without appearing clumsy. The ruffles hang in a lovely and elegant manner.
My only concern is that there is a hot pink line on the inner part of my left sleeve. I contacted GlitterTale about it, and the staff explained it was a chalk mark. This is a common tool to ensure your items are the the correct size when sewing, but it is a bit concerning that the evidence is still there. The hot pink chalk marks are extremely noticeable against the light ivory chiffon material.

I absolutely love the design of this blouse! The Hime-styled sleeves give the blouse an elegant look and the light chiffon is perfect for the warmer summer months. I gave the blouse a lower rating due to the unwanted hot pink chalk mark on the inner left sleeve. I have been assured it will come out.

The communication with the Glitter Tale staff was fantastic! If I had a question, I had an answer in twelve hours at the latest. The staff would reach out to me if they had any questions as well.

Fantastic! All of the materials are of a stunning quality and created with excellent stitching and design. My only complaints involve possible staining and small size adjustments that could be made.
