How I Wash My Main Lolita Pieces in the Washing Machine
Lolita laundry can get expensive fast, but you'd be surprised which pieces you can clean in a washing machine! I've created a list of dresses and skirts I wash, at home, on a regular basis and my methods for each piece.
Angelic Pretty
Bear Ribbon Cutsew OP (Ivory)
1. Turn the dress inside out.
2. Add a mild detergent that is safe on colors to the detergent dispenser. If there isn't a dispenser, do not put the detergent directly on the dress.
3. Wash on delicate and cold water only.
4. Turn right-side out and air dry or machine dry at the lowest temperature setting.
Baked Sweets Parade JSK (Sax)
1. Remove the waist ties.
2. Turn the dress inside out.
3. Add a mild detergent that is safe on colors to the detergent dispenser. If there isn't a dispenser, do not put the detergent directly on the dress.
4. Wash on delicate and with cold water only.
5. Turn right-side out and air dry.
Magic Princess Napoleon JSK (Pink)
1. Remove the waist ties and star chain.
2. Turn the dress inside out.
3. Add a mild detergent that is safe on colors to the detergent dispenser. If there isn't a dispenser, do not put the detergent directly on the dress.
4. Wash on delicate and with cold water only.
5. Turn right-side out and air dry or machine dry on the lowest temperature setting.
Melty Cream Donut JSK (Pink)
1. Remove the waist ties.
2. Turn the dress inside out.
3. Add a mild detergent that is safe on colors to the detergent dispenser. If there isn't a dispenser, do not put the detergent directly on the dress. I use Seventh Generation.
4. Wash on delicate and with cold water only.
5. Turn right side out and air dry or machine dry on the lowest temperature setting.
